Ceramic cooktops
This question can have many potential answers depending on the style of your kitchen, the size of the cooker unit and, of course, your cooking habits. First off, measure the length and width of the cooktops to be replaced and use that as a guide. If you are a first-time cooktop buyer, simply measure the length and width of the cooker unit, and you can use these dimensions to search through our range of available hobs for designs that match. And remember to always get a new cooktop fitted by a professional fitter/electrician.
After cooling, clean the surface with a mild cleanser and a soft cloth. Avoid abrasive cleaners and brushes to prevent scratching.
Possible reasons include incompatible cookware, power issues, or circuit malfunctions. Check if the cookware is magnetic, and ensure a proper power supply.
1.The cooktop frequently cycles on and off:
-- This is normal operation. Cycling at the high power setting is normal and can occur if the cookware is too small for the cooktop element or if the cookware bottom is not flat. Use the cooktop as usual.
2.The surface unit stops glowing when changed to a lower setting:
-- This is normal. The unit is still on and hot. Use the cooktop as usual.
3. Wiring error.
Please check whether the line is connected to the power supply normally.
As a rule, a brand new cooktop should be 50mm or more from the hob to the wall. This is to prevent potentially costly mishaps from being too close to the wall.
Induction Cooktops
Glass-ceramic is a heat-resistant glass that does not expand and is extremely tough. If dark and dull spots form on the glass over time after cooking, this is not a defect in the glass, but a film of dirt that can be removed with a glass-ceramic cleaner
Yes, but you probably already have what you need. Flat-bottomed pots and pans made of ferrous materials—iron and some steel—are ideal. That includes many stainless steel pots and pans.
If the induction hob switches itself off during cooking, there may be insufficient ventilation. In addition, the running noise of the fans increases because the induction coils have to be cooled. and the hob will be switch off automatically while it's overheating.
It is no harder to clean an induction cooktop than it is to clean the glass of an electric smoothtop. In fact, it may be easier, because an induction element doesn’t generate enough heat to create baked-on messes.
Not all pots and pans are suitable. They must be induction-compatible, meaning they should have a magnetic base. Check the manufacturer's recommendations for your specific cooktop.
For plug-in inductions cooktops such as our 15amp plug-in induction cooktop, you cannot use all 4 rings on full power at the same time, as the overall power is limited to 3500W at any one time. Additionally, the will automatically limit the sum of all power levels to 12. Surveys tell us that this is more than enough for the average cook, but if several cooking zones have to be used at the same time then a “hard-wired” version such as the Cookology KNI-603S1 or KNI-B46441 induction cooktops might be more suitable. These must be fitted by a qualified electrician.
Gas Cooktops
When you are looking for a gas cooktop here are some factors you should consider: the number of burners required, the material of the burners, and features like automatic ignition.
Top-rated gas cooktops come with automatic ignition. When you turn the knob of the gas stove, it ignites the gas in the burner. Also, look for easy control knobs that are comfortable for grip.
The flame of the gas cooktops is pre-adjusted before shipping to the customer. If the flame you use is too big, please make sure you use the right gas source, the gas cooktop is pre-installed for natural gas use, converting to propane use need to replace the NG nozzles with LPG nozzles (LPG nozzles are attached within the package), and a 0.4 PSI gas regulator is necessary. Any problem please feel free to contact us.
The clicking sound is the spark igniter trying to ignite the gas. If it continues clicking after the flame is lit, there might be an issue with the igniter or the burner needs cleaning.
1. Please make sure that the nozzle is used correctly. If you use natural gas, replace the natural gas nozzle. If you use propane, replace the propane nozzle. The default for karinear gas cooktop is natural gas when you buy them.
2. Karinear gas cooktop provide a pressure regulating valve, and the pressure reducing valve needs to be purchased by the customer. The reason for the unstable flame may be that the pressure reducing valve is not used under high pressure.
You must have a gap of at least 25 mm and at most 74 mm between the underneath of the appliance and any surface that is below it.
